About Mal Pais
Located 150 kilometers from San Jose, Mal Pais is a small costal village bordering Cabo Blanco National Park. The town has many small luxury hotels nestled within the jungle, overlooking Mal Pais's beautiful beaches. The town also has the area's only fish-market, which provides fresh snapper, mahi-mahi and tuna to local restaurants and residents alike.
Horseback riding, canopy tours, yoga classes, surf and stand-up paddleboard lessons, scuba diving and sportfishing are just a few of the many activities available.
About Santa Teresa
North from Mal Pais a few kilometeres, Santa Teresa Beach is known the world around for its consistent surf, gorgeous beaches and beautiful sunsets. Although typically known as the "green season" due to the rain, the months of May through December usually produce the largest waves for surfing. Santa Teresa is becoming one of Costa Rica's great tourism destinations and there are many differents types of accommodations available for those on a budget to luxury travelers.
Manzanillo
Manzanillo is a short drive north of Santa Teresa. It is a small Costa Rican fishing village with a beautiful beach. Every year at the beginning of April, the town hosts a popular sand castle competition.
